This code was originally developed by Dong and Blunt (2009), in which, a maximal ball algorithm is used to extract topologically equivalent networks of pores and throats from images of porous media that can be used as input to network models. Later the code has been updated and used as a base for the generalized network extraction code by Raeini, Bijeljic and Blunt (2017), which is available on github:
