The Interaction Zone is open for scheduled and programmed events only. We are committed to ensuring that we are a safe place to work, study and visit. Given the challenging situation in relation to COVID-19, we have restrictions for the use of the space in place which limit both the type and capacity of events we can host.

The Invention Rooms is a unique space in White City, where the local community and Imperial come together to collaborate, innovate and make.

With cutting-edge facilities, in a friendly and welcoming environment, we hope to inspire generations of inventors, entrepreneurs and makers from the local area and beyond.

The Dangoor Reach Out Makerspace

A unique workshop and design studio where the local community can get hands-on experience of making and prototyping.

There are free after-school programmes for local young people and equipment to make just about anything – from wearable technology to household gadgets.

Advanced Hackspace

A cutting-edge workshop facility for staff, students and partners to develop new ideas and prototypes.

The workshop has 3D printing and digital manufacturing, woodwork and metalwork, and a bio-lab for synthetic biology and molecular fabrication.

Invention Rooms Cafe

A warm and welcoming space with events and activities for the local community, including science workshop and tech drop-in sessions.

The Invention Rooms Cafe has also meeting rooms available for community-university projects and an outdoor terrace with WiFi where you can pop in and enjoy a coffee with us.
