Spring Term Technical Staff Forum: Apprenticeships
Thursday 10 February 2022, 14.30 – 16.00 (MS Teams)
Our apprenticeship-themed Technical Staff Forum is open to all technical staff and managers at the College, plus others with an interest in the theme. This virtual event will showcase the College’s technical apprenticeship schemes, which span laboratory science, maintenance, and electronic and mechanical engineering. As well as hearing directly from technician apprentices and their mentors, we will be sharing stories from experienced technicians at the College who have undertaken leadership apprenticeships to support their own career development. Talks will be followed by Q&A and networking.

Spring clean your finances! Financial wellbeing sessions for technical staff
Imperial’s Technicians’ Network has arranged a series of lunchtime financial awareness sessions. These will be delivered by Chadwicks, one of Imperial’s panel of financial adviser firms. Following the sessions, staff will also have the option to arrange a telephone or face-to-face online meeting, free of charge and without obligation, to discuss their personal circumstances.

This financial wellbeing workshop will help you to give your finances a makeover. The session will provide you with information on personal budgeting, taxation, borrowing, mortgages, savings and financial resources.

This financial wellbeing workshop focuses on protecting your income and your health. The session will provide you with information on the Health Roulette, Life Assurance, Income Protection, Critical Illness Insurance and financial resources.

Wednesday 27 April, 12.00 – 13.00 (MS Teams)
This financial wellbeing workshop focuses on pensions and investments to help you to plan for when your hard-working days are over and life becomes one long adventure! The session will provide you with information on investments, risk, asset types, portfolio building, retirement planning, pensions and pension consolidation.
